Lot 265:
Sold for: $45
Description
This lot consists of a collection of 95 rounds of ammunition in various calibers and packagings from China, Russia, and Czechoslovakia. Included are three 20-round yellow boxes of 7.62x39mm ammunition produced by the China North Industries Corporation (Norinco), featuring copper-washed steel-cased cartridges; two of these boxes are labeled NON CORROSIVE and one is labeled CORROSIVE. Visible cartridge headstamps for the Chinese ammunition show the factory code 311 above the year 93. Also included is a single white 20-round box of Russian TCW Ammunition in 7.62x39mm featuring green lacquer-coated steel cases with red sealant applied at the projectile and primer. The collection is rounded out by a 15-round brown cardboard box of Czech military surplus 7.62mm vz. 52 ammunition, which is a 7.62x45mm cartridge. Key markings transcribed from the packaging include CHINA NORTH INDUSTRIES CORPORATION, 7.62 x 39 mm, TCW AMMUNITION, MADE IN RUSSIA, bxn- 52, and 7,62mm NÁBOJŮ OSTRÝCH vz. 52. The collection represents various cold war era and transitional military-style cartridges produced for use in SKS, AK-47, and Vz. 52 pattern rifles.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in good condition overall, appearing to be live and well-preserved. The copper-washed steel cases of the Norinco ammunition show minor, expected surface discoloration and darkening from age but remain free of heavy corrosion. The Russian TCW cartridges retain a smooth green lacquer finish with intact red sealant. The Czech surplus box exhibits significant shelf wear, darkening, and structural weakness consistent with military storage since the 1950s. The yellow Norinco boxes show moderate wear at the corners and edges, including some creasing and original retail price stickers. We have not function-tested this ammunition, and it is sold as-is for collection or shooting purposes.
