Description
This Soviet military holster is designed for the M1895 Nagant revolver. The holster is constructed from brown pebble-grained leather with a wrap-around protective flap secured by a brass stud. It features an integrated pouch on the forward edge designed to hold spare ammunition. The reverse is fitted with two wide leather belt loops and a closure strap. Included with the holster is a blued-steel cleaning rod, which is held in place by two leather loops along the front spine. The interior of the main flap is lined with a dark, woven fabric and bears a multi-line rectangular ink stamp. The markings transcribe as Изготовлено / к-т им.МАРКСА / ОТК 9 X 1960, indicating manufacture at the Karl Marx factory (Bogorodsk leather goods factory) in October 1960.
Condition report:
The holster is in excellent, unissued condition. The leather remains supple with its original color and texture well-preserved. There is minimal surface wear, and all stitching is tight and intact. The brass hardware shows a light natural patina, and the cleaning rod retains nearly all of its original blued finish.
