Description
This Zastava M57 is a semi-automatic, single-action pistol chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev, representing the Yugoslavian evolution of the Soviet TT-33 design. It features a 4.5 inch barrel and a steel construction with a blued finish. The pistol is fitted with black, vertically-ribbed plastic grip panels that incorporate a central star emblem containing the letters F R S J, signifying the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The sighting system consists of a fixed front blade and a rear notch. Key markings include the importer and manufacturer stamp on the left side of the slide Southern Tactical Glen Allen, VA / Zastava Yugoslavia and the caliber and model designation 7,62mm M57. The top of the slide is prominently engraved with the Yugoslavian national crest. Serial numbers are present on the right side of the slide C-21139 and on the barrel 21139, which are matching, while the frame is stamped with a non-matching number 28195. Various assembly and proof marks are visible, including 1-00.001 on the slide, 2-00.101 on the frame, 2-00.004 on the trigger, and a BK mark within a square. The lot includes one 9-round detachable magazine marked with a matching assembly number 1-00.001. We have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol retains a significant portion of its original blued finish, showing typical holster wear on the high edges, slide, and muzzle area. The frame displays some thinning of the finish on the grip straps. The black plastic grips are in good condition with minor handling marks and no visible cracks. All markings remain crisp and legible. The magazine shows light finish wear consistent with the pistol. The action appears to function correctly through manual cycling. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling.
