Description

This lot consists of two original cardboard boxes containing a total of 140 rounds of 7.62x25mm Tokarev ammunition. The cartridges feature bottlenecked brass cases and copper-jacketed, lead-core, round-nose projectiles, consistent with military surplus full metal jacket specifications. One box contains 70 rounds and bears a Serbian Cyrillic label transcribed as 70 КОМАДА МЕТАКА ТТ-7,62 mm ЗА ПИШТОЉ И АУТОМАТ, which indicates its intended use for pistols and submachine guns. Additional markings on this Yugoslavian-origin box include ПГ 62109 and Барут НЦ-03 МБЛ 6236, referencing the Pobjeda Goražde manufacturing plant and propellant details from 1962. The second box, containing the remaining 70 rounds, is reinforced with clear adhesive tape and retains a partially legible purple ink stamp in Polish that reads 7,62 mm naboje pistoletowe. This caliber of ammunition was standard for the Tokarev TT-33 pistol and various Eastern Bloc submachine guns throughout the mid-20th century.

Condition report:

The cardboard packaging shows significant signs of age and long-term storage, including tearing, edge wear, and staining, with the Polish box having undergone extensive reinforcement with clear tape. The visible cartridges are in good surplus condition, with the brass cases exhibiting typical dulling and minor surface oxidation. The copper-jacketed projectiles appear intact with minor patination. This is surplus military ammunition; while the cartridges appear to be live and undisturbed, functionality and reliability are not guaranteed, and the lot is sold as a historical collectible.
