Description

This lot consists of 108 rounds of .303 British rifle ammunition, primarily intended for hunting and target shooting, organized into two plastic storage cases. The first case, with an orange lid and black base, contains rounds predominantly bearing the Prvi Partizan headstamp PPU 303 BRIT, along with examples from Remington-Peters marked R-P 303 BRITISH. These cartridges are largely fitted with soft-point projectiles. The second case, a translucent blue container, holds a diverse assortment of rounds with various markings including W-W SUPER 303 BRITISH for Winchester-Western, R-P 303 BRITISH, and H S 303 BRITISH. This portion of the collection includes a mix of soft-point hunting rounds and five full metal jacket projectiles mounted on a metal stripper clip secured in the lid. The ammunition features standard centerfire primers and brass cases compatible with rifles chambered for the .303 British cartridge, such as the Lee-Enfield series. All rounds appear to be live and are held in grid-style plastic inserts for organized storage.

Condition report:

The ammunition is in stable condition, with the brass casings exhibiting varying degrees of surface tarnish, oxidation, and typical handling marks consistent with age. Primers appear to be properly seated, and the projectiles remain secure within the case necks. There is no significant corrosion or structural degradation visible on the cartridges. The plastic storage cases are intact with minor surface scuffs and functional hinges and latches.
