Description

This lot features 100 rounds of .303 British caliber rifle ammunition manufactured by the Greek Powder and Cartridge Company, recognized by the HXP headstamp. The cartridges are provided on steel five-round stripper clips, some of which are stamped with the BP marking. The ammunition utilizes brass casings that show prominent annealing discoloration around the neck and shoulder, a standard feature of military-specification production. The rounds are loaded with copper-jacketed spitzer projectiles and feature primers with a green lacquer sealant for moisture resistance. Case head markings include varying production year stamps such as 64, 68, and 82. This group of ammunition is representative of mid-20th-century Greek military production intended for use in Enfield-pattern rifles and other firearms chambered for the .303 British cartridge.

Condition report:

The ammunition and chargers are in good surplus condition overall. The brass cases show minor tarnish and light surface oxidation consistent with age, while the copper-jacketed bullets remain largely bright. The black metal stripper clips exhibit moderate finish wear and superficial scratching. The primers are well-seated and the sealant remains intact. All ammunition appears to be live and in serviceable condition for its age.
