Sold for: $350
Description
This Italian Model 91/38 Truppe Speciali (TS) bolt action carbine is chambered in 6.5x52mm Carcano and was designed for use by specialist military units. It features an approximately 17.7 inch barrel equipped with a fixed rear notch sight, a front blade sight, and a forward bayonet lug. The action is a traditional bolt design with an integral fixed box magazine intended for use with 6-round en-bloc clips. The metal surfaces retain a blued finish that shows characteristic thinning and wear. The firearm is mounted in a smooth one-piece wood stock that is uniquely equipped with both side-mounted and bottom sling swivels, terminating in a steel buttplate. Key markings on the barrel shank include the manufacturer stamp FNA-B for Fabbrica Nazionale d’Armi – Brescia and the serial number RA 67304. Various small proof and inspection marks are also present on the barrel and receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal finish is in fair to good condition, exhibiting thinning bluing across the barrel and receiver with noticeable mottled surface oxidation and areas of light pitting, most prominent on the magazine housing and trigger guard assembly. The wood stock remains structurally sound with no major cracks, although it displays a variety of minor scratches, dings, and handling marks consistent with military service. The bolt action appears to function correctly, but the firearm has not been function-tested or test-fired. The internal bore condition was not inspected.
