Sold for: $70
Description
This lot features 40 rounds of Norma brand centerfire rifle ammunition chambered in 6.5 x 55mm Swedish Mauser. Each cartridge is loaded with a 120-grain (7.8 gram) Nosler Ballistic Silver Tip (BST) projectile featuring a distinctive brown polymer tip. The ammunition is packaged in two original gray cardboard boxes, each illustrated with a hunting scene at sunset and the red and white Norma logo. Technical specifications are printed on the box end flaps in several languages, including the model designation 6,5 X 55, 7,8 GRAM NOSLER BST, 120 GRAINS NOSLER BST, and the product number No. 20165222. The boxes also feature the Swedish text Innehåller: 60 g röksvagt krut, indicating the weight of the smokeless powder. The brass cases feature headstamps verbatim marked NORMA 6.5×55. The rounds are organized within black plastic tray inserts designed for field use and protection.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in clean, well-preserved condition. The brass cases are bright with no significant signs of corrosion or oxidation, and the primers appear seated correctly. The Nosler Ballistic Silver Tip projectiles are secure and the polymer tips are intact. The original cardboard packaging shows moderate shelf wear consistent with age, including minor scuffs, edge fraying, and a small tear on one corner of an end flap. The black plastic inserts remain functional and undamaged.
