Description
This Russian Tula Arsenal SKS-45 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm, configured for military service. It features a 20 inch barrel equipped with an integral folding blade bayonet that exhibits a distinctive yellowish finish. The rifle is fitted with a hooded post front sight and a tangent rear sight graduated from 1 to 10. The metal components display a deep blued finish, contrasted by a polished bolt and bolt carrier. The rifle is mounted in a dark reddish-brown wood stock and handguard, showing typical grain patterns for the era. It retains its original 10-round internal box magazine and is accompanied by a tan canvas sling. Key markings include the Tula Arsenal star and arrow symbol above the date 1954г on the receiver cover. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the serial number AM 7024 and import markings that read RUSSIA SKS-45 7.62X39 KBI, INC HBG, PA followed by RH613413. The serial number AM 7024 is consistently found on the bolt carrier, the left side of the buttstock, and the buttplate, indicating a matching-number example. The underside of the magazine also bears matching serial markings. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in very good overall condition. The blued finish on the receiver and barrel is well-preserved with only minor thinning at the muzzle and high edges. The polished bolt and carrier remain bright and clean. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The wood stock and handguard are in very good condition, showing scattered light handling marks, minor dings, and superficial scratches consistent with military surplus storage and light use. The action appears to function correctly and the bayonet mechanism is secure and operates smoothly, though we have not function-tested this firearm for live fire.
