Description
This lot features an assortment of military field equipment, weapon maintenance gear, and commemorative pieces spanning the mid-20th century to the modern era. Included are two dual-cell brown pebbled leather ammunition pouches, attributed to Yugoslavian SKS production, characterized by their Y-shaped closure straps and metal stud fasteners. A pair of smooth brown leather dual-cell ammunition pouches is also present, in the style of Mosin Nagant or Mauser rifle equipment. The collection includes a tall, light brown leather holster or equipment pouch with a strap and buckle closure. Weapon maintenance items consist of a vintage two-compartment US military metal oiler stamped with P and Sm on the respective caps for preservative and special medium oils, and a black metal combination multi-tool for the M1 Garand or M14 rifle system. Several cleaning kits are included, housed in brown canvas and vinyl rolls, containing cleaning rods, brushes, and braided rope bore snakes. Modern items feature a green nylon field pouch with a black fabric TRU-SPEC manufacturer label and a small khaki canvas pouch with a metal button embossed with a five-pointed star. Commemorative items include two brass-finished 5.56mm stripper clips stamped with the text 5,56 MERE EGLISE and 1944-1994, marking the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Condition report:
Items range in condition from fair to very good. Leather goods show characteristic signs of age and field use, including surface scuffing, minor cracking, and verdigris oxidation on metal hardware. The metal oiler exhibits significant finish wear and surface oxidation. Canvas items show varying degrees of staining and minor fraying. Modern nylon and commemorative brass components appear to be in very good to excellent condition with minimal wear.
