Description

This lot contains a verified total of 80 rounds of Czech military surplus 7.62x25mm Tokarev pistol ammunition, packaged in two original 40-round cardboard boxes. The cartridges are primarily brass-cased and feature tombac-plated steel jackets, with a portion of the ammunition mounted on eight-round steel stripper clips designed for use with the Vz. 52 pistol. Each box is configured with 40 cartridges arranged in five rows of eight, including two rows secured on clips. One box, constructed of brown cardboard, is marked with the aym manufacturer code for Povážské strojárne and transcribed markings include aym #, 129/51, 7,62 mm OSTRÝCH PISTOLOVÝCH (7.62mm live pistol cartridges), Nc dp P1-nma 2/51, and NÁPLŇ : 0,67 (charge: 0.67g). The second box, made of off-white cardboard, features the bxn code for Sellier & Bellot with transcribed markings including bxn followed by a star and 9/51, 40, 470/1951, 7.62mm pistolových nábojů, TOMBAKOVANÝ PLÁŠŤ (tombac-plated jacket), Nc dp P1-nma 5/51, and Náplň 0,65 g. Visible headstamps on the cartridges include markings such as bxn 52, aym 52, and aym 51 with a star symbol, indicating a mix of 1951 and 1952 production.

Condition report:

Both cardboard boxes exhibit significant shelf wear, age-related staining, and have been reinforced with tape repairs along the edges and seams. The brass-cased ammunition is in good surplus condition, though many cartridges show minor surface oxidation and light verdigris on the tombac-plated projectiles. The steel stripper clips show a dark gray finish with some light surface wear but appear functionally sound. The ammunition appears to be live military surplus and has not been test-fired.
