Description
A US military-issue insulated beverage dispenser constructed from heavy-duty olive drab green rotationally molded polyethylene with foam insulation. This unit, often colloquially referred to as a Mermite can, is designed for the transport and service of hot or cold liquids in a field environment. The top-loading design features a rubber gasket-sealed lid secured by four stainless steel draw latches. Two integrated, heavy-duty carry handles are molded into the top frame for transport. The front of the unit features a recessed, replaceable spigot for dispensing. The black plastic spigot handle and the center of the lid are marked with the manufacturer name SiLite. The top of the lid also features molded-in instructional text reading DO NOT USE FOR MILK OR MILK PRODUCTS. One side of the main body contains a recessed rectangular panel with the molded manufacturer name Cambro. Hand-written markings in black permanent marker on one side of the body read 6 M.S.

Condition report:
The item is in good, issued surplus condition. The exterior shows characteristic surface wear, including scuffs, scratches, and minor abrasions consistent with field use and transport. The interior appears clean. All four stainless steel latches are present and functional. The rubber gasket is present and remains in good condition.
