Description
This lot consists of 50 cartridges of Spanish 7mm Mauser (7x57mm) tracer ammunition, housed in its original cardboard box. Produced for military use, these rounds are identified as tracer ammunition by their distinctive red-painted projectile tips. The cartridges utilize both copper-washed steel and brass cases, which exhibit a heavy aged patina and surface tarnish. The original cardboard packaging is marked with a stamped logo of crossed cannons and the manufacturer information PIROTECNIA MILITAR, followed by 50 Cartuchos de GUERRA, MAUSER 7 mm., and BALA TRAZADORA. The loading date is explicitly stamped as Junio 1943. Headstamp markings on the base of the cartridges include the letters P and S, with the date digits 1, 9, 4, and 3 arranged around the primer pocket. Some primers show a green sealant, while others are plain. The box displays significant shelf wear, fraying, and structural deterioration consistent with its age, and has been wrapped in a protective clear plastic film for stabilization.
Condition report:
The cartridges appear to be in original, live condition, though they exhibit varying degrees of surface oxidation, tarnish, and discoloration on the cases and projectile tips. The primers are intact and appear unfired. The cardboard box is in fair to poor condition, showing significant fraying at the edges, paper loss on the label, and overall structural weakness, though it is currently held together by a plastic film wrap.
