Description

This lot consists of a total of 88 rounds of centerfire pistol ammunition across three boxes. One partial commercial box contains 42 rounds of Hotshot brand 7.62mm Nagant ammunition. These cartridges feature 98 grain flat point jacketed bullets and are Boxer-primed and non-corrosive. Verbatim markings on the packaging include Hotshot Brand Ammunition, 7.62mm Nagant FPJ, 98 Grain, and Made in Serbia, with headstamps marked PPU 7.62mm NAGANT indicating manufacture by Prvi Partizan. The remainder of the lot includes two boxes of Finnish military surplus containing 46 rounds of bottlenecked brass-cased ammunition with full metal jacket bullets, consistent with 7.62x25mm Tokarev or 7.63x25mm Mauser specifications. The Finnish cardboard boxes are labeled 7.63 pist. p, 25 kpl, Venäl., and Uudelleen pakattu, which identifies them as repackaged Russian-origin 7.63mm pistol cartridges. One Finnish box contains 25 rounds while the second box contains 21 rounds to reach the verified total of 88 rounds. Markings on the Finnish boxes also indicate a repackaging date of August 1954.

Condition report:

The ammunition is in overall good condition. The Hotshot brand 7.62mm Nagant rounds feature bright, clean brass cases and factory-seated bullets, appearing live and ready for use. The Finnish military surplus rounds show a light layer of surface tarnishing and patina consistent with age but do not exhibit significant corrosion or damage. The commercial Hotshot box shows moderate shelf wear, including fraying at the edges and a retail price sticker from Military Gun Supply. The vintage Finnish cardboard boxes show heavier wear, including fraying, discoloration, and some tape repairs, but they remain intact enough to hold the contents.
