Description

This lot comprises a collection of 151 rounds of 7.63mm Mauser pistol ammunition, a caliber frequently utilized in the Mauser C96 and similar early semi-automatic pistols. The lot includes two distinct types of cartridges: brass-cased rounds manufactured by FNM (Fabrica Nacional de Municoes) in Portugal and copper-washed steel-cased rounds of Bulgarian origin. Key markings include headstamps transcribed as FNM 1-73 7.63 on the Portuguese ammunition and 347 93 on the Bulgarian surplus rounds. The packaging consists of two yellow cardboard retail boxes from Century Arms Inc. of St. Albans, Vermont, which denote the contents as non-corrosive and made in Portugal. A yellow plastic 50-round storage tray and a cardboard tray insert are included for organization. The cartridges feature full metal jacket projectiles and represent a mix of late 20th-century commercial import and military surplus production.

Condition report:

The ammunition appears to be in good overall condition. The brass cases exhibit light tarnish consistent with age, while the copper-washed steel cases show minor shelf wear and surface oxidation. All primers appear to be live and correctly seated. The cardboard retail boxes show significant shelf wear, including creasing, edge fraying, and minor tearing to the end flaps. The yellow plastic tray remains intact and functional. This ammunition has not been function-tested.
