Description
This deactivated Finnish Suomi KP/-31 submachine gun parts kit is chambered in 9mm and is presented in a torch-cut configuration intended for assembly as a non-firing display or for use as a donor for spare components. The kit includes a receiver that has been torch-cut into three pieces to comply with ATF regulations for non-firearm status, alongside a separate barrel shroud featuring an integral muzzle brake, blade front sight, and sling swivel. The metal components exhibit a blued finish, while the furniture consists of a one-piece birch wood stock with a metal buttplate and a side-mounted leather sling loop. Sights include a tangent rear sight assembly and the aforementioned blade front. Key markings include the manufacturer designation SUOMI Tikkakoski on the receiver bridge, a boxed SA Finnish Army property mark, and the serial number 44490. The reverse side of the rear sight base is stamped PATENT 1932. The lot also includes a small bag containing internal parts such as the recoil spring and sear. This kit is missing the magazine. Condition report:
The metal components retain a moderate amount of their original blued finish, showing various scratches, thinning, and areas of light surface oxidation. The torch-cut receiver sections display significant slag, burrs, and heat-induced finish loss at the cut sites. The birch wood stock is in good military-surplus condition with numerous dings, scratches, and handling marks consistent with service use. The internal components in the bag appear to be in functional order, though they have not been tested. The bore condition of the barrel is not clearly visible due to the cut status of the receiver. The leather sling loop is intact but shows aging.
