Description

This lot consists of 40 rounds of World War II military issue ammunition manufactured at the Denver Ordnance Plant. The ammunition is contained within two original cardboard boxes, each labeled for 20 cartridges of .30 caliber M2 Ball ammunition. The box labels feature orange-red vertical stripes and black text clearly stating 20 CARTRIDGES BALL CALIBER .30 M 2 with the ammunition lot number 32501C. Verbatim markings on the boxes include DISPOSAL OF EMPTIED CARTRIDGE CASES MUST BE MADE AS PRESCRIBED BY A. R. and DENVER ORDNANCE PLANT. The cartridges are comprised of brass casings and copper-jacketed projectiles, with a red sealant applied to the primers. The headstamps on the cartridges are clearly marked with the manufacturer code DEN and the year 43, denoting production in 1943. One box remains sealed in protective plastic wrap, while the other is open to display the contents.

Condition report:

The ammunition and original packaging appear in good, vintage condition. The brass casings show a light, natural patina and some minor surface tarnishing consistent with their age, but no heavy corrosion is present. The copper jackets and red primer sealants remain well-preserved. The cardboard boxes exhibit typical shelf wear, including some fraying at the corners and light staining on the surfaces, though all label text remains sharp and legible. We have not function-tested this ammunition, and it is sold as a historical collectible.
