Description
This Swedish Mauser Model 1894 bolt-action carbine is chambered in 6.5x55mm and is configured in the m/94-14 pattern, distinguished by the addition of a nose cap with a bayonet lug. The firearm features a 17.7 inch barrel and a blued finish on the receiver, barrel, and furniture, while the bolt assembly remains polished bright. The carbine is mounted in a full-length wood stock with a straight wrist and finger grooves. Key markings include the receiver ring which is engraved with a crown over C crest and the text CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVARSFAKTORI. 1916. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number M.B. 70433. Matching partial serial numbers 433 are present on the bolt handle, shroud, safety, and cocking piece, as well as the blued nose cap, mid-band, and buttplate tang. The right side of the buttstock is fitted with a circular brass unit disc marked I 27 № 147 and a rectangular trajectory plate for round-nose ammunition labeled K m/94. Sighting is provided by a blade front sight with a protector and a tangent rear sight graduated to 600 meters. The carbine includes a brown leather sling. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The carbine retains a high percentage of its original blued finish with light thinning on the muzzle and high edges of the receiver. The bolt assembly remains bright with minimal signs of oxidation. The wood stock is in very good condition, exhibiting minor dings and handling marks consistent with its age and military service. The bore is bright with strong, distinct rifling. The bolt-action appears to function smoothly, and the safety operates as intended, though the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. All visible serial numbers are matching.
