Description
This lot comprises 20 rounds of Swiss Gewehrpatrone 11 (GP11) rifle ammunition chambered in 7.5x55mm. The ammunition is packaged in two original 10-round cardboard boxes featuring trilingual labeling in German, French, and Italian. These cartridges utilize brass casings and full metal jacket spitzer-style projectiles with characteristic silver-colored jackets. Prominent markings on the box labels include Anzahl 10, Gewehrpatrone 11, 7,5mm GP 11, cartouche 11 pour fusil, and cartuccia 11 per fucile. One box is marked with the code 591-1100 and dated 21.9.78A, while the other is marked 91-1100 and dated 20.5.77A. The cartridge headstamps are divided into four quadrants; visible characters include 5, A, 77, and D on 1977 production rounds, and 9, A, 78, and D on 1978 production rounds, indicating manufacture at the Swiss federal factories in Altdorf and Thun. The primers are finished with a black sealant.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in excellent, live condition with clean brass casings and bright projectiles showing no significant oxidation. The primers and sealant remain intact. The original cardboard packaging shows light shelf wear and handling marks; the 1977-dated box has a notable tear on the left side of the front panel, while the 1978-dated box remains structurally sound.
