Lot 506:
A Lot of 20 Rounds of 6.5x55mm Swedish Centerfire Rifle Ammunition
Sold for: $45
Description
This lot consists of 20 rounds of 6.5x55mm Swedish centerfire rifle ammunition professionally organized on four five-round steel stripper clips. The cartridges feature bottlenecked rimless brass cases loaded with copper-jacketed soft-point projectiles that include exposed lead tips. The steel stripper clips are stamped with the letters FR within a horizontal oval on the reverse side, a marking typical of Swedish military contract production. These clips are specifically intended for use with the Swedish Mauser series of rifles. The brass casings exhibit a uniform color with minor age-related tarnish, while the projectiles appear to be in good condition. No headstamps are legible in the accompanying photographs.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in good condition, showing light surface tarnish and minor oxidation on the brass cases. The copper-jacketed projectiles are well-preserved, though the lead soft-point tips show light oxidation and minor flattening from storage. The steel stripper clips are in good condition with light surface wear and small areas of oxidation, but remain structurally functional. The ammunition appears to be live and suitable for collection.
