Description

This lot consists of 150 rounds of .30-06 Springfield ammunition, organized in eight steel 8-round en-bloc clips for the M1 Garand and twelve steel 5-round stripper clips for the M1903 or M1917 rifles, along with loose cartridges. The rounds feature brass casings and copper-jacketed spitzer bullets. Key markings transcribed from the cartridge headstamps include the manufacturer code and date DM 42 and DM 43, which indicates production by the Des Moines Ordnance Plant in 1942 and 1943. Various primer sealants are present in red, green, and purple colors. The ammunition and clips exhibit a dark aged patina and light surface oxidation consistent with World War II era military surplus.

Condition report:

The ammunition and clips are in surplus condition. The brass cartridge cases show a naturally aged dark patina with scattered light surface oxidation and minor verdigris. The copper-jacketed bullets appear stable. The steel en-bloc and stripper clips display surface wear, finish thinning, and light oxidation typical of their age. The primers appear to be intact and unfired. This ammunition is sold as a collectible military surplus item; the functionality and reliability of vintage ammunition are not tested or guaranteed.
