Description

This lot features 32 cartridges of .303 British caliber ammunition produced by Pakistan Ordnance Factories. These Mark 7 pattern cartridges are constructed with brass cases and copper-jacketed spitzer projectiles featuring a distinct purple sealant at the primer interface. The ammunition is housed in its original cardboard box, which is secured by a tan paper seal bearing green printed text and purple stamps. Transcription of the markings on the box label includes 32 CARTRIDGES .303 INCH Mk 7 above a British broad arrow property mark, followed by C.I.A. (P) and P.O.F. Purple ink stamps on the label provide the date 12 MAR 1964 A and the identifier P.A.8. The headstamps on the individual cartridges are marked verbatim with P O F at the 12 o’clock position, 64 at 3 o’clock, 7 at 6 o’clock, and L at 9 o’clock. The cartridges are organized within the box in a tiered cardboard spacer system, and the entire package presents as an intact military-style surplus lot.

Condition report:

The ammunition appears to be in good overall condition with the brass cases showing a light, natural patina and minor spots of oxidation consistent with age. The copper-jacketed bullets remain bright and the purple primer sealant is largely intact across the lot. The original cardboard box displays storage wear including light surface staining, corner compression, and some edge fraying, though the paper seal remains mostly complete and legible. The ammunition appears live and has been well-preserved.
