Description

This lot consists of 150 rounds of 7.62 x 25 mm (.30 Mauser) center-fire ammunition distributed by Interarms and housed in three green plastic storage boxes. Each box is intended to hold 50 cartridges, featuring 86-grain full metal jacket bullets with brass casings. This collection comprises military surplus ammunition repackaged for commercial sale. Verbatim markings on the packaging labels include INTERARMS, 50 CENTER-FIRE CARTRIDGES, 7.62 x 25 mm (.30 MAUSER), and 86 Gr. FULL METAL JACKET. The cartridge headstamps display various production codes, including 539 over 48 representing the Tula Arsenal in 1948, alongside star markings with 38 and year codes such as 51 and 54. The rounds are organized in plastic trays within the boxes; one box is open to reveal its contents, containing 49 rounds in the tray and one loose round, totaling 50.

Condition report:

The green plastic ammunition boxes exhibit surface scuffing and scratches throughout. The black paper labels show significant wear, including peeling, lifting, and fraying at the edges. The brass cartridge cases display a heavy patina with widespread tarnish and localized spots of green oxidation or verdigris. The copper-jacketed bullets also show age-related tarnish and oxidation. The ammunition appears to be live and intact, though it has not been function tested for reliability.
