Description

This Remington-manufactured French Model 1907-15 is a bolt-action rifle chambered for the 8mm Lebel cartridge, originally designed for French military service during World War I. The firearm has been significantly modified from its original military configuration and is currently in a sporterized state. It features an internal magazine typically fed by three-round en-bloc clips. The blued steel finish shows extensive wear and neglect. The original wooden stock has been crudely cut down at the forend and is currently held to the barrel with black electrical tape, while a deteriorated orange rubber recoil pad is similarly taped to the buttstock. The rifle retains its iron sights, consisting of a front post and a rear tangent sight. Prominent markings include Remington Mle 1907-15 engraved on the left side of the receiver and RAC 1907-15 stamped at the barrel-receiver junction. This firearm is offered as a parts gun; the bolt catch is reportedly not working, which prevents the action from going into battery. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The overall condition is poor. Metal components exhibit extensive surface rust, heavy oxidation, and significant pitting throughout the barrel and receiver. The wooden stock is crudely modified with various dings and scratches, and it relies on adhesive tape to secure the forend and the crumbling recoil pad. The action is non-functional, as it cannot be put into battery due to a faulty bolt catch mechanism.
