Description

This lot consists of a total of 44 rounds of mixed rifle ammunition, specifically 7.7mm Japanese (7.7 Jap) and 8mm Lebel, accompanied by a blue plastic cartridge box and a rusted metal ammunition belt section. The ammunition is divided into two groups: 19 rounds housed within the plastic box and 25 loose rounds. Markings on the headstamps of the cartridges in the box include the factory code 10 and the years 53 or 54, indicating production at Bulgarian State Factory 10. One round within the loose group features a red-painted tip. The 8mm Lebel rounds are identified by their distinct tapered case and rimmed base, while the 7.7mm Japanese rounds are consistent with military issue specifications for Arisaka rifles. The included metal belt section is a single continuous length of linked steel loops intended for a machine gun feed system.

Condition report:

The ammunition exhibits varying degrees of age-related wear and corrosion. The 19 rounds in the plastic box are in fair condition with expected surface tarnish and red primer sealant. In contrast, the 25 loose rounds show significant signs of poor storage, including heavy oxidation, surface pitting, and prominent green verdigris around the case mouths and primers. The metal ammunition belt section is heavily affected by surface rust throughout. All rounds appear to be live and have not been function tested; due to the visible corrosion, they are sold for display or as components only.
