Description

This is a sporterized bolt-action rifle built on a British Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk III* action chambered in .303 British. The rifle features a shortened barrel with a blued finish and has been fitted with an aftermarket Fajen wooden stock featuring a Monte Carlo comb, a raised cheekpiece, and a pistol grip. The stock is accented with decorative white spacers at the black grip cap and the black ribbed buttplate. It is equipped with a hooded front sight and a leaf rear sight. Key markings on the wrist socket include a crown over the characters G.R., followed by B, 1942, SHT L.E., and III*, identifying it as a Short Magazine Lee-Enfield likely produced at the BSA Shirley factory. The receiver and barrel are both stamped with the serial number M88128. Additional barrel markings include a broad arrow proof and the number 41. The black ribbed buttplate is embossed with the Fajen name. The rifle includes a single detachable box magazine and front and rear sling swivels. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The blued finish on the receiver and barrel shows thinning and edge wear, with visible surface oxidation present on the bolt head and rear sight components. The Fajen wood stock is in good overall condition with various light handling marks, scratches, and minor dings consistent with field use. The bore is not visually inspected, but the action appears to function correctly; however, we have not function-tested this firearm. The detachable magazine shows surface wear and minor oxidation.
