Description

This PTR Industries PTR 91 is a semi-automatic battle rifle chambered in .308 caliber and configured as a modern reproduction of the classic roller-delayed blowback G3 design. The firearm features an 18 inch barrel equipped with a birdcage style muzzle flash hider and a hooded post front sight. The stamped steel receiver is finished in a matte dark gray coating and features a four position rotary drum rear sight. Key markings include PTR 91 and PTR INDUSTRIES, INC. AYNOR, SC U.S.A. .308 CAL. on the right side of the magazine well, while the receiver tang is stamped HK 10/73 with a proof mark indicating the use of surplus Heckler and Koch components. The serial number G124685 is stamped on the top rear of the receiver. The rifle is fitted with olive drab green polymer furniture including a slim ventilated handguard, a contoured pistol grip, and a fixed buttstock with a ribbed polymer recoil pad and integrated sling attachment points. The trigger group housing displays S, E, and F selector markings, and the rifle is accompanied by one detachable 20 round steel box magazine. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The rifle presents in used but well maintained condition. The matte gray metal finish shows minor edge wear and light thinning on the high points of the receiver and barrel, with a few faint areas of surface oxidation visible upon close inspection. The olive drab green polymer components are in good condition with scattered light scratches and handling marks, primarily on the buttstock and pistol grip. The bore is bright with sharp rifling throughout. The action appears to function correctly and smoothly, though we have not function tested this firearm. The magazine shows some finish wear and light surface rust but remains structurally sound.
