Description
This lot consists of a collection of 8.15x46R caliber ammunition components and handloaded cartridges, including 40 new formed empty brass casings and 20 handloaded cartridges as specified in the provided inventory. The items are presented in three boxes, with two branded as Amerikan Patterson-Werk and one plain white box with a printed 8.15 x 46r label. Technical details transcribed from the packaging include Amerikan Patterson-Werk, 8.15x46R, Präzisions-Büchsenpatrone, 20 Patronen, 8.15 mm Kaliber, 46 mm Hülsenlänge, Randflansch Hülsenform, and 178 gr Geschossgewicht. The boxes also indicate the items were manufactured in the U.S.A. (Herst. U.S.A.). The collection features one complete cartridge with a black-coated lead bullet, 19 primed brass cases, and 40 unprimed brass cases. The brass has been reformatted for the 8.15x46R chambering from .30-30 Winchester donor stock, and visible headstamps include PPU 30-30 WIN, SUPER-X 30-30 WIN, WINCHESTER 30-30 WIN, and F C 30-30 WIN. This set is an excellent resource for enthusiasts of vintage Schuetzen-style target rifles.
Condition report:
The ammunition components are in good to very good condition overall. The 40 unprimed brass cases appear to be in new, unfired condition following the formation process. The 20 additional items include 19 primed cases and one complete handloaded cartridge with a black-coated lead projectile. The reformatted brass shows clean surfaces with clearly legible headstamps from various manufacturers including PPU and Winchester. The cardboard boxes show minor shelf wear, light soiling, and some softening at the corners, but they remain intact and functional. All components appear clean and suitable for reloading or sporting use.
