Condition report:

The rifle is in good antique condition showing signs of military service. The metal surfaces display a dark, mottled patina with areas of surface oxidation and light pitting, most prevalent on the buttplate, trigger guard, and breech block. Stamped markings remain clear and legible. The walnut stock exhibits characteristic service wear, including various dings, scratches, and minor bruises. A small chip is present in the wood near the lock plate. The trapdoor mechanism and hammer are functional.
