Sold for: $350
Description
This is a Soviet Mosin-Nagant Model 1891/30 bolt action rifle manufactured at the Izhevsk arsenal and chambered in 7.62x54R. It features a 28.75 inch barrel and a round receiver typical of wartime production. The metal components exhibit a uniform blued finish characteristic of a post-war Soviet arsenal refurbishment. The rifle is mounted in a light-colored wood stock with a matching upper handguard, featuring recessed sling slots with steel escutcheons and a steel buttplate. It is equipped with standard military iron sights, consisting of a hooded front post and a rear tangent leaf graduated to 2,000 meters. A steel cleaning rod is stored in the channel beneath the barrel. Key markings include the Soviet hammer and sickle within a wreath and the Izhevsk arrow-in-triangle symbol on the barrel shank, followed by the date 1943г and the serial number ЮЕ564. The serial number 564 is stamped on the bolt handle, the magazine floorplate, and the buttplate, indicating matching components from the refurbishment process. The left side of the receiver bears an import mark reading M91/30 RUSSIAN 7.62 X 54R / C.A.I. GEORGIA VT. 9130030991. The rifle includes a tan canvas web sling with leather dog-collar attachments. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in very good arsenal-refurbished condition. The blued finish remains very strong across the receiver and barrel with only minor thinning at the muzzle and on the bolt handle. The bore has not been inspected. The bolt action appears to function smoothly and the trigger remains crisp, although the rifle has not been function-tested or test-fired. The wood stock and handguard are in very good condition, exhibiting a clean, light color with only a few minor handling dings and impressions consistent with storage. All markings are clear and easily legible.
