Description

This lot includes 295 rounds of 8mm ball ammunition, specifically 7.92x57mm Mauser cartridges featuring silver-toned cupronickel-jacketed projectiles and brass cases. The ammunition is organized onto five-round brass stripper clips featuring three distinct dimples, a configuration characteristic of Turkish military surplus production from the mid-20th century. These rounds are distributed across multiple tan canvas bandoliers, each containing individual pouches secured by metal buttons. The canvas displays a coarse weave with some fraying, age-related wear, and faint purple ink stamps that are present but not clearly legible. The entire lot is stored in a single green-painted metal ammunition can of standard military pattern, featuring a side latch, folding top handle, and a yellow identification label on the lid. This 8mm ball ammunition is being sold as-is for collectible or component use.

Condition report:

The ammunition appears to be in good surplus condition, with the brass cases displaying a dark aged patina and minor surface tarnish throughout. The cupronickel-jacketed projectiles are mostly bright with some dulling and surface spotting consistent with storage. The brass stripper clips are functional with typical oxidation. The canvas bandoliers are intact but show moderate wear, staining, and fraying at the edges and buttonholes. The metal ammunition can has significant paint thinning, scratches, and light surface rust on the exterior, though the lid latch and handle remain functional. The ammunition is live but has not been function-tested.
