Condition report:
The steel blade and hilt components exhibit a dark, mottled aged patina with significant surface oxidation and areas of light pitting throughout. The blade shows evidence of past sharpening and minor nicks along the cutting edge. The wooden grip scales show heavy wear consistent with military use, including darkening from handling and minor smoothing or bruising to the checkering. The assembly remains structurally sound. The original scabbard is absent.
