Description

This is a custom sporterized bolt-action rifle built on a United States Springfield Armory Model 1903 receiver. The firearm is chambered in .308 Magnum and features a blued barrel fitted into a checkered walnut sporter stock with a Monte Carlo comb, an integral cheekpiece, and a Pachmayr White Line ventilated rubber recoil pad. The receiver ring is clearly marked U.S. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1903. with the serial number 1500592. The left side of the barrel near the breech is stamped .308 MAG. This rifle is equipped with a Weaver K4 fixed-power scope, featuring a post and crosshair reticle and marked WEAVER K4 PATENTED EL PASO TEX USA, mounted in a bridge-style scope base. The metal components exhibit a blued finish with thinning on the barrel and receiver edges, while the bolt body is polished with a swept-back handle for scope clearance. Sling swivel studs are mounted on the forestock and buttstock. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The rifle retains a significant portion of its blued finish, though there is noticeable thinning and silvering on the muzzle, high edges of the receiver, and trigger guard. The polished bolt shows standard operational wear. The walnut stock is in good condition with minor dings and handling marks consistent with field use, and the checkering remains relatively sharp. The bore appears bright with strong rifling, though it has not been professionally inspected. The action appears to function correctly, and the Weaver scope optics are clear with a distinct post and crosshair reticle. We have not function-tested this firearm.
