Gun Collectors Dream Auction #85 Weapons of War July 18th 10AM CST
Lot 706:
Sold for: $325
Description
This lot comprises 600 rounds of 7.62x25mm Tokarev ammunition, featuring bottlenecked brass cases and copper-jacketed round-nosed full metal jacket projectiles. The ammunition appears to be a mixture of various military surplus productions, primarily from Eastern Bloc nations. Verbatim headstamp markings visible on representative samples include the caliber designation 7.62×25 paired with the date code 82, as well as factory numeric codes such as 22 and 38. The cartridges are loose and contained within a single large clear plastic bag. This high-velocity chambering was originally developed for the Soviet TT-33 service pistol and is also compatible with several period-correct submachine guns, including the PPSh-41 and PPS-43.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in generally good condition, with the brass cases exhibiting age-appropriate tarnish and light surface handling wear typical of surplus munitions. Some individual cartridges show minor verdigris or surface oxidation. The copper-jacketed projectiles are largely clean, and the primers appear intact and un-struck. All rounds appear to be live and bullets are securely seated in the cases.
