Description
A factory-sealed United States military M13A2 filter element set produced by Mine Safety Appliances Company (MSA) for use with the M17 series chemical-biological protective masks (M17, M17A1, and M17A2). The pair of filters is contained within an original moisture-vapor-proof, foil-lined white paper pouch designed for long-term storage and protection against environmental degradation. The package features extensive printed and stamped markings. These include the National Stock Number (NSN) 4240-00-165-5026, the manufacturer part number 303924, and contract identification DAAA09-78-G-2000 Order No. 0023 dating to 1982. Red stamped text identifies the packager as Champion Packages Company of Columbus, Georgia, dated November 1982. Additional production stamps indicate a lot number of MSA 7 30 and a curing date of February 1983 (2/83). The top edge includes military specification markings MIL-B-117E and the bottom right corner features a tear-open directional arrow.
