Sold for: $625
Description
This Swedish Husqvarna Lahti M/40 semi-automatic pistol is chambered in 9mm and is equipped with a 4.75 inch barrel. As a licensed Swedish production of the Finnish L-35 design, this handgun features a robust steel frame and receiver with a blued finish that exhibits significant thinning, silvering on high edges, and scattered handling marks from military or police service. The pistol is fitted with fixed front and rear sights and black checkered plastic grips that feature a crown over H logo. Prominent markings include HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS A.B. on the left side of the receiver and the matching serial number 25718 stamped on the frame and the rear of the bolt assembly. A crown over S.S. proof mark is visible on the rear of the frame above the lanyard loop, while three small triangular proof marks are stamped on the underside of the barrel near the receiver. Import markings on the right side of the frame above the trigger guard read SARCO STIRLG NJ and M40 9MM SWEDEN. The lot includes one detachable box magazine. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in fair to good used condition. The metal surfaces show a worn finish with significant thinning and silvering throughout, along with various scratches and handling marks consistent with age. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The black plastic grips remain intact with minor smoothing to the checkering. The magazine shows finish wear but appears mechanically sound.
