Description

This lot consists of 87 rounds of .30 caliber carbine ammunition presented in a World War II era United States military ammunition bandolier. The bandolier is constructed of olive drab (OD) canvas and contains six pockets. The ammunition is loaded onto steel 10-round stripper clips, with original cardboard spacers visible within the pockets. Each cartridge features a brass casing, a round-nose projectile, and a visible purple sealant at the case mouth, consistent with military specifications. The rightmost pocket of the bandolier bears black stenciled markings that read CAL. 30 CARB. BALL M1 10 RD CLIPS LOT WRA 22593. The WRA manufacturer code identifies these rounds as having been produced by Winchester Repeating Arms.

Condition report:

The canvas bandolier is in good surplus condition, displaying minor fraying at the seams and edges along with light staining and fading indicative of age and long-term storage. The ammunition cartridges exhibit a natural age patina and surface oxidation, particularly on the lead tips of the projectiles. The steel stripper clips show varying degrees of surface oxidation and a dark patina.
