Description
This Norinco Model 59 is a Chinese-manufactured semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x18mm Makarov, a design derived from the Soviet Makarov PM. The firearm features a 3.7 inch barrel and operates via a straight blowback system with a double-action/single-action trigger. The steel construction is finished in a high-polished bluing, and the frame is fitted with brown checkered synthetic grips featuring a central five-pointed star within a circle. The slide is equipped with a fixed front blade and a notch rear sight, with a serrated rib along the top to reduce glare. Prominent markings include MADE IN CHINA BY NORINCO and MODEL 59 9X18MM on the right side of the slide. The left side of the slide bears the importer information BETA ARMS, INC. LA CA and the serial number B00954. The left side of the frame is marked with a matching serial number B00954 and the factory code 56 inside a triangle. This pistol is accompanied by its original factory box, a Type 59 manual, and one magazine. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in excellent overall condition, retaining approximately 98 percent or more of its original high-polish blued finish. There are very few signs of handling, with only minor wear visible on some high edges. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The action appears to function correctly, and the slide-mounted safety/decocker is positive. The synthetic grips are in excellent condition without cracks or chips. The original box shows moderate shelf wear and some scuffs to the edges but remains structurally sound.
