Description
This Winchester Model 94 is a Canadian Centennial commemorative lever-action rifle chambered in .30-30 Winchester caliber. It is configured with a 26-inch octagonal blued barrel and a full-length tubular magazine. The blued receiver features decorative engravings of maple leaves and vines on both sides. The rifle is fitted with a smooth walnut straight-grip stock and a matching forend, both showing scattered dings, scratches, and signs of handling wear. Sighting equipment includes factory hooded front and adjustable rear leaf iron sights, supplemented by a side-mounted Weaver K4 60-C scope with a post-and-crosshair reticle. The rifle is completed with a crescent steel buttplate and a saddle ring on the left side of the receiver. Key markings include the barrel script Canadian Centennial 1867-1967 in gold-toned inlay, the upper tang marking CANADIAN CENTENNIAL 67, and the caliber designation 30-30 on the barrel flat. The barrel is also marked WINCHESTER MADE IN U.S.A. followed by a registered trademark symbol. The serial number 22809 is stamped on the underside of the receiver forward of the lever. Condition report:
The rifle retains a large portion of its original blued finish with some thinning on the high edges and minor surface oxidation noted on the steel buttplate and near the saddle ring. The walnut furniture exhibits scattered dings, compression marks, and light scratches from handling, though no chips or cracks are visible. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling. The lever action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The Weaver scope optics appear clear with an intact reticle.
