Description
This lot features two vintage boxes of Remington Kleanbore 9mm Luger ammunition totaling 100 rounds. The green cardboard boxes with red and cream accents are marked with the Remington logo and text reading KLEANBORE 9 m/m LUGER 124 GRAIN METAL CASE BULLET 50 CENTER FIRE SMOKELESS CARTRIDGES MADE IN U.S.A. and DUPONT alongside the number 1009. One box contains 50 cartridges with consistent headstamps reading REM-UMC 9 m/m LUGER. The second box contains 50 cartridges of mixed manufacture with visible headstamps including W-W 9mm LUGER, WIN 9mm LUGER, F C 9mm LUGER, BLAZER 9mm LUGER, R-P 9mm LUGER, S&B 9mm LUGER, and WCC + P + 94. This mixed box also contains a single cartridge with a dark lacquered case.
Condition report:
The vintage cardboard boxes show moderate shelf wear including fraying at the corners, edge rubbing, and some light surface staining. The cartridges in the uniform Remington-UMC box appear to be in good condition with clean brass cases and silver-colored primers. The mixed ammunition in the second box displays varying degrees of surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with different manufacturers and storage environments. All cartridges appear to be live and unspent.
