Description
This lot features 50 rounds of .32 Winchester ammunition, also known as .32-20 Winchester or .32 WCF, manufactured by the Remington Arms Company, Inc. at the UMC Bridgeport Works. The cartridges are loaded with 100-grain lead round-nose bullets and are contained within a period-correct two-piece green cardboard box. Key markings on the box top include .32 WINCHESTER, MARLIN & REMINGTON, .50 CENTRAL FIRE CARTRIDGES, and 100 GRS. BULLET, accompanied by the circular red UMC logo. Side panels indicate the cartridges are oilproofed and adapted for the Remington Model 25, Winchester Models 1892 and 53, and Marlin Models 1894 and 27 rifles, as well as Colt and Smith & Wesson arms. The box underside includes a guarantee in both English and Spanish and bears a red lot code stamp G 17 N. The headstamps on the brass casings are verbatim marked REM-UMC 32 WCF.
Condition report:
The green cardboard box exhibits significant age-related wear, including frayed and split edges, areas of paper loss, and visible residue from previously applied adhesive tape. The 50 cartridges are arranged in their internal grid. The brass casings show heavy tarnish and scattered spots of verdigris. The lead round-nose bullets display a thick layer of white oxidation, commonly referred to as lead bloom. The ammunition is sold as a collectible item and has not been tested for firing functionality.
