Description
A pair of US Morgan Silver Dollars minted at the New Orleans Mint, dated 1895 and 1903 (KM# 110). These coins are struck in 90% silver and 10% copper. Each piece features the Liberty Head design on the obverse and a heraldic eagle on the reverse. Both specimens have reeded edges. The 1895 specimen shows significant horizontal field striations and wear to the hair and stars. The 1903 specimen displays heavy, dark, uneven toning across both faces. The New Orleans Mint produced these coins during the height of the Morgan Dollar era before the facility ceased coinage operations in 1909.
Condition report:
Both coins show signs of significant circulation wear and are in good to very good condition. The 1895 specimen exhibits unusual surface textures in the fields and wear to the design high points. The 1903 specimen is heavily toned with dark, patchy oxidation and numerous small contact marks and abrasions. Neither coin has been professionally graded by a third-party service.
