Description
An A. Uberti Model 1873 Cattleman single action revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle, imported by Taylor’s & Co. This firearm is equipped with a 4.75-inch blued barrel, a six-shot blued cylinder, and a case-hardened steel frame and hammer. The configuration features smooth wood grips with a high-gloss finish. Sighting is handled by a standard fixed front blade and a frame-notched rear sight. Prominent markings include the top barrel address TAYLOR’S & CO. WINCHESTER VA – A. UBERTI ITALY and the model designation on the left side of the barrel MOD. 1873 CAL. 22LR. The left side of the frame displays the two-line patent dates PAT. SEPT. 19. 1871 and PAT. JULY. 2. 1872. The serial number U77788 is clearly stamped on the underside of the frame along with Italian proof marks and the CL date code. The revolver is accompanied by its original factory box with matching serial number and specification labels. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in excellent like-new condition. The bluing on the barrel and cylinder remains deep and consistent with no visible wear or scratches. The frame and hammer display vibrant case-hardened colors throughout. The smooth wood grips are in pristine condition, retaining their full gloss with no notable handling marks. The bore was not internally inspected but the external condition suggests it is clean and well-maintained. The single action appears to function correctly with a crisp hammer engagement and solid cylinder lock-up, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The original box is in good condition with minor shelf wear.
