Description
This is a Savage Model 25 bolt action rifle chambered in .22 Hornet, configured for precision varmint shooting. The rifle features a 24-inch heavy contour barrel and a carbon steel receiver, both finished in a durable matte black. The action includes a jeweled bolt body and the manufacturer’s signature adjustable AccuTrigger system, with the original factory sticker still present on the buttstock. The firearm is set in an attractive reddish-brown laminated wood stock featuring a Monte Carlo style comb, integrated sling swivel studs, and a textured black rubber buttpad. A detachable box magazine is included, which bears a small white label on the floorplate reading SAV-22/HORNET. The rifle is topped with a Center Point 4-16x40AOIR scope that features an adjustable objective and an illuminated mil-dot reticle. Verbatim barrel markings include SAVAGE M-25 22 HORNET CALIBER and SAVAGE ARMS INC., WESTFIELD, MA 01085 USA along with the safety warning BEFORE USE READ & UNDERSTAND OWNER’S MANUAL. The bolt body is marked Savage and the receiver is stamped with the serial number J198498. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining nearly all of its original matte black finish with minimal signs of handling. The laminated wood stock is very well-preserved, showing no significant scratches, dings, or cracks. The bore is bright with crisp, well-defined rifling. The bolt action and adjustable trigger appear to function correctly, and the detachable magazine seats securely. The mounted optic is clear with a sharp reticle. We have not function-tested this firearm.
