Description
This is a Ruger M77 bolt action rifle chambered in .25-06 Remington. It features a 24-inch blued barrel and a receiver with integral scope mount bases. This example is an early tang safety model, identifiable by the sliding safety located on the tang of the receiver. The rifle is mounted in a checkered walnut sporter stock which includes a black pistol grip cap with a white Ruger logo insert and a factory red rubber recoil pad. Key markings on the left side of the receiver include the serial number 772-50703 and the model designation RUGER M77®. The top of the barrel is marked STURM, RUGER & CO. INC., SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. following a standard safety warning, and the caliber 25-06 is stamped on the left side of the barrel near the receiver. The firearm is missing iron sights as it is the clean barrel configuration intended for use with a telescopic sight. Sling swivel studs are present on the forend and the underside of the buttstock. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in good overall condition. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver remains strong with only minor handling marks and light thinning at the muzzle. The checkered walnut stock is attractive and structurally sound, showing scattered light surface scratches and minor indentations consistent with field use. The action appears to function correctly and the trigger is crisp. We have not function-tested this firearm. The bore was not inspected.
