Description
This lot consists of 374 rounds of Remington Hi-Speed Kleanbore .22 Long Rifle rimfire ammunition intended for use in sporting rifles and handguns. The ammunition is contained within seven original two-piece cardboard boxes, accompanied by an additional empty eighth outer sleeve. The collection includes both solid-point cartridges with product code 1522 and hollow-point variants with product code 1622. Key markings include the prominent Remington Hi-Speed Kleanbore branding, the 22 LONG RIFLE caliber designation, and the DuPont trademark logo. Verbatim box markings specify 50 RIM FIRE CARTRIDGES and MADE IN U.S.A. alongside the DuPont trade dress. The cartridges are constructed with brass casings and lubricated lead projectiles. Technical markings on the headstamps consist of a central U character with HI embossed above and SPEED embossed below. The cardboard boxes are in fair to good condition, showing expected shelf wear, scuffing, and fraying at the edges and corners consistent with their age. One box is present only as an empty sleeve. The cartridges themselves exhibit surface oxidation on the lead bullets and a natural dark patina on the brass cases. While the ammunition appears to be live, it is sold as a vintage collectible for display or study; the functional reliability of the primers and propellant is not guaranteed due to the age of the lot.
