Description
This Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan is a double action revolver chambered for the heavy .44 Magnum cartridge, designed for personal protection in bear country. It features a short 2.5 inch barrel and a robust stainless steel frame with a durable satin finish. The firearm is fitted with black rubber Hogue Tamer finger-groove grips that exhibit a pebble texture and the Ruger eagle logo medallion. For sighting, it utilizes a ramped front sight and a white-outline adjustable rear sight. Verbatim markings on the right side of the barrel include RUGER / SUPER REDHAWK / ALASKAN and .44 MAGNUM. The left side of the barrel is marked READ INSTRUCTION MANUAL / RUGER / NEWPORT, NH USA. The right side of the frame is stamped with the serial number 530-23899 and a Ruger logo. This lot is accompanied by the original grey plastic Ruger hard case with a matching factory label identifying it as Model 05303, the instruction manual, a factory fired casing envelope dated 2012, and a cable lock. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The satin stainless steel finish is in excellent overall condition, showing only very minor handling marks and a faint turn line on the cylinder. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling and no signs of pitting or erosion. The black rubber grips remain supple and free of tears or significant wear. The double action and single action cycles appear to function correctly with a tight cylinder lock-up, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. All included accessories are in good to excellent condition.
