Description
This lot consists of a collection of .25-06 Remington caliber rifle ammunition including 54 live rounds and 19 empty brass casings. The collection features a mix of commercial and handloaded cartridges housed in one vintage Remington Hi-Speed cardboard box containing a styrofoam tray and three plastic storage cases comprising two yellow and one red container. The ammunition utilizes a variety of brass cases with headstamp markings transcribed verbatim as R – P 25-06 REM, W-W 25-06 REM, SUPER-X 25-06 REM, L C 62 MATCH, L C 64 MATCH, L C 68 MATCH, and 30-06 SPRG. The presence of military-surplus Lake City match brass indicates that these cartridges are handloaded, with several necked down from .30-06 Springfield military cases to the .25-06 Remington caliber. The live rounds are predominantly topped with lead-tipped soft point projectiles.
Condition report:
The brass cases exhibit varying degrees of age-related tarnish and minor surface oxidation. The live rounds appear to be handloads with properly seated primers, though functionality has not been tested. Projectiles show typical lead oxidation on the tips. The vintage Remington cardboard box displays moderate shelf wear, edge fraying, and light soiling consistent with storage. The plastic storage cases are in good structural condition with minor surface dust and localized handwritten markings.
