Description
This Ruger New Model Blackhawk is a single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum and is also capable of firing .38 Special ammunition. The firearm is constructed from brushed stainless steel and features a 6.5-inch barrel with an under-barrel ejector rod. It is equipped with a ramped front sight blade and an adjustable rear target sight. The revolver is fitted with smooth pearlescent synthetic grips held in place by a single brass screw. Key markings include the left side of the frame which is roll-stamped RUGER .357 MAGNUM CAL. NEW MODEL BLACKHAWK and the right side of the frame bearing the serial number 38-40167. The underside of the barrel is marked with the manufacturer safety warning BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM RUGER NEWPORT NH USA. The hammer features a wide, serrated spur and the trigger is smooth stainless steel. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The brushed stainless steel finish is in very good condition, showing only minor handling marks and a very faint turn-line on the cylinder. The pearlescent synthetic grips are excellent with no visible chips or cracks. The bore is not visible in the provided images; however, based on the overall external condition, the firearm appears well-maintained. The single-action mechanism appears to function correctly with a crisp trigger pull, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition.
