Description
A pair of unfinished wooden rifle buttstocks, attributed to the Yugoslavian M70 pattern of the AK-type rifle. These stocks are constructed from raw, unvarnished wood and feature internal routing designed to accommodate the unique rear receiver tang and mounting hardware of the M70 variant. The upper stock features a lateral through-hole in the wrist for a mounting bolt and displays a faint, square-shaped stamp on the right side of the wrist; the characters within the stamp are present but not clearly legible. The lower stock has a similar profile but lacks the lateral through-hole and displays a small white marking on the left side of the stock body. Both items are missing metal hardware including buttplates, sling swivels, and mounting screws. The surfaces show typical storage characteristics, including a rough wood texture, minor handling dings, and surface discoloration.
Condition report:
Serviceable, unfinished surplus. Both stocks are in raw wood form, showing surface roughness and minor handling marks consistent with storage. There are no major structural cracks visible. The internal inletting appears well-defined. The stocks would require sanding and finishing before final installation.
